Couldn’t My Friends or Family Help Me?

Yes, they could. But the big difference is that your family and friends may (consciously or unconsciously) have a vested interest in your staying where you are and NOT making the changes you desire. They’re closely involved in your life whereas your coach can stand back and be 100 per cent objective. A coach has only one vested interest ~ your success.

Your friends and family may not always be fully honest or push you to be your best.  A coach will be unconditionally constructive; we’re professionally trained to ask you the tough questions that help you to make the best decisions and choose the best path for yourself. It’s rare in life to find someone who really listens to you and has only your best interests at heart.

Is Coaching the same as Counselling?

No. Counselling tends to deal with emotional issues from your past, while coaching looks to the future, concentrating on what you want to achieve and taking effective action to get you there.

Does Coaching over the Phone Really Work?

I work with almost all my clients over the phone. It’s extremely focused and many clients find it easier to be open and frank from the privacy of their home or office. It also means valuable time isn’t wasted travelling to sessions.

How Do I Know that a Life Coach is Properly Qualified?

There are a LOT of coaches out there and it’s important to make sure that your coach is well qualified. Some of the questions you might want to ask are:

  • Have they graduated from an accredited coach-training programme?
  • Are they a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) or other professional organizations such as the Association for Coaching?
  • Do they possess an ICF credential — ie Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC) or Master Certified Coach (MCC)?

How do I Get Started? What Do I Do Next?

The first step is to book a FREE, no obligation Coaching Consultation where you can explain what kind of support you need and try out some life coaching for yourself. Following that, if you decide that coaching is the right thing for you, you’ll receive a Coaching Welcome Pack, we’ll book your first call and you can get started! It’s as simple as that.

You’re not tied to a minimum number of coaching sessions – we’ll take it one month at a time. You choose how many coaching sessions you want each month and between those sessions you’ll have ‘homework’ to keep you progressing towards your goals. You’ll have additional email and phone support between calls if needed.
